After obtaining a first class honours degree in design, Karen started her working life at Harvey Nichols in London. Working on the display team, window dressing, shop fits and interior spaces. She went on to study interior design at the JJA Academy and Architecture practice in Clapham, finding interiors the next natural step.
Karen McBain Interiors was launched in 2014. Karen has worked on projects ranging from, a stunning kitchen in a 19th Century period home, to creating spacious contemporary living with striking colour throughout another.
Her own home has been featured in Period living, 25 Beautiful Homes and Apartment Therapy. Karen was awarded Period Living Interior Design project winner 2014.
Karen lives in Guildford, Surrey with her husband Kevin and son Monty, taking on projects throughout Surrey and London.
